Call me a quitter or whatever you’d like, but I’m calling it a day with this program. I’m sure, in fact I know, that by the end of the 21 days I will have some significant results, but the nutrition for these 21 days just doesn’t fit my lifestyle or my heavy weight workouts. And that’s the thing about fitness/nutrition plans, they have to fit YOUR life so that it works and you stick to it, everyone is different. This has nothing to do with the actual Ultimate Slimdown program itself, because it will definitely yield the results it promises, if you follow it accurately.
So instead, I’ve enlisted the help of someone that I trust and admire and also happens to be a well known female weightlifter/figure competitor, to help me get back on track and in fighting shape permanently. It will certainly take a lot longer than 21 days (a lot longer!), but that’s ok, because this is for the long-haul and my goals for this are different. I could probably do this on my own, but I know myself, and I know how I operate. I work better with a coach, and with someone to be accountable to. Some people don’t need that and can just do it on their own, which is really admirable. But I know my strengths and I know my weaknesses, and when it comes to fitness and nutrition I need that outside voice pushing me, encouraging me, and challenging me with no BS.
How do you make it through?
