I’m gonna have to do some research. I didn’t know that you could do anything like that! If I find a place that does I am so in, especially for apples!!!

Hmmm. We don’t have that program around here, but I definitely buy local at the Farmer’s Market.

Erin & Jo – definitely check out the Local Harvest database. I knew about some in my area, but turns out there are SO MANY I didn’t know about!! I too buy from the Farmer’s Market a lot of the time. It all is always so YUM!

I’m a big fan of local farming. We have a co-op here in Philly that brings the produce to Rittenhouse on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It’s great. I’m paying more and more attention to being a Locavore. It matters….no fruits and veggies out of season…just deal with it.

    Nice post/video. Great thinking.

We have a lot of local veggies, fruit and meat in the Okanagan so it is easy to be local. I try to use a store in town that sells 70% local grown product. The only downside it that it is more expensive. But I found the food is more fresh and better testing.
